#5,012 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I didn’t really like the other two books in this series but I can see why this series is popular - lots of wish fulfillment, fluff, etc. Maureen Smith is a good writer but sometimes things just go...so off the rails. Her characters don’t act like real people. They’re complete caricatures, veering onto an absurd level. Two examples - Jess and Cynara. Both supporting characters so luckily they weren’t in it for too much. I really was enjoying this book until like 60% in. Meadow and Logan are childhood friends who grew up in a group home, who reconnect as adults. I liked their relationship because unlike the other couples in this series, they actually had solid foundation for a relationship before they got together romantically. And they actually liked each other for reasons apart from attraction.I’ll cut right to the chase - this book has a detailed description of child sexual abuse/rape. It’s not a quick mention. There is no warning of this content at all. The main male character was repeatedly raped by his foster sister when he was 8 and she was 21. Again there is NO warning anywhere in the blurb, nor is there a note at the beginning of the book to let readers know. I assumed this book would be similar to the others in this series - fluffy, over the top, etc. To spring this on readers is really inconsiderate.Apart from that, there’s a scene where two white male characters discuss women of color and it was honestly so off-putting and bizarre that I had to double check that the author was in fact a WOC. Just a mess.I really did like the couple at the core of this book, but everything else was just too much to handle. Very disappointing.

It is rare that I give a book five stars, but Maureen Smith worked for this rating. Logan and Meadow are two characters anyone would fall in love with and root for. Broken and trying their hardest to find just a little happiness, these two hold on to each other even when life tries to pull them apart.I've been reading books by Maureen Smith for quite a few years and I can always count on her to give me a good story with a love worth swooning over. However, she outdid herself with Sin Bin! I laughed, I cried, and I cried some more while also rooting for these character's healing. The two previous books in this serious are s great, and I really wasn't expecting this one to be much better but rather just as good. I figured it would just be another amazing story, but no, this was a journey. Maureen took us into the past, brought us back to the present, and gave us a glimpse of the future. It has only been a little over an hour since I finished Sin Bin and I am still processing, but there is one thing I know for sure, if the stories in this series are just going to keep getting better, we all need to buckle up for Hunter's story!

I had to gather my thoughts to write this review. I needed to dig deep to find the right words to convey how absolutely beautifully written this book was; I still don't think I've found the right words but I will try.Logan & Meadow lived together briefly when they were foster children but the impact they each had on each other's lives was astronomical. They never forget each other and I believe they fell in love as kids.Meadow (Jupiter) was your typical quirky science geek with a heart of gold. Because of her time in the foster care system, she became a caseworker. Logan, full of vim & vigor with a whole lot of anger mixed in, became a hockey player with the appropriate nickname of Bruiser. Bruiser & Jupiter..... opposite sides of the coin but no one understood them better than each other. My emotions ran the gamut with this one. The tears, the joy, the love and even the pain... all were felt by me, the reader. This author weaves a tale like no other. Her words are so descriptive you literally feel like you're in the story! The commercial scene was so VIVID, I could see and feel the heat like I was looking at a real live commercial!! I needed a change of under garments after reading it!!This book, like all her others, is quality storytelling. This author is the bomb.com!!

I hate books where you have to guess the race of the heroine. I was 6% in the book and still could not figure if the heroine was AA. Next time please describe more than her hair and eye color.

To be quite honest this series has been on a decline for me. LOVED the 1st one, Meh on the 2nd one but and a complete facepalm for this one. I was honestly looking forward to Logan’s story but it’s like she came up with the idea for this story at the last minute. She tried to relate the Main Female character back to something written in the 1st book and it legit made no sense. The Mc didn’t hate hockey..... and then there were so many characters that had no redeeming qualities that there was so much about. Didn’t need to hear about Jess, didn’t even like her from the way she was written and Cynara was written to be a witch as well but now she’s going to be with Hunter and we’re supposed to be happy for her? There were so many open storylines left as well which I assume will be answered in her next book. All in all this book was a super slow read due to the storyline being slow. There’s only so many denials you can put in a relationship before no one believes it anymore. Maureen also rushed the ending and you could tell. 1st they have a big fight, then they make up and 3 pages later basically they’re engaged? It made no sense because that didn’t even happen in her other books. I’m upset I paid $7 for this when it should have really been 3 or 4. I really love her wolf pack books and a couple others but after 2 years, her often spoken desire to retire and the hype around this book: this will probably be the last one of the series I read

This journey sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. I truly am a fan of Maureen Smith's writing skills! This was a sexy, powerful, gripping story. Of the the three Rebels so far... Logan is my favorite. His birthday sex scene with Meadow was pure fire!!! Meadow was wow!!!! She was a sexy kitten and she didn't even know it. The chemistry Logan and Meadow had was by far the one the best I've read.I couldn't stop reading!!
